Hole-in-One: Cheri Guidice, a member at Pinehurst, scored her first hole-in-on Nov. 18, on Course No. 6, while playing the 108-yard 16th hole. Cheri used her 7-iron to reach the green, and her witnesses were Donna Skidmore, Pat Anderson and Janice Kaczmarek.

Pinehurst: The Men’s Golf Association played a Nassau tournament and the format was two best balls of each foursome. Competition was on Course No. 1. Longleaf: The Men’s Golf Association completed its fall match play season Nov. 24: Division 1 – Dennis Crook and Gary Carroll, 121 points; Division 2 – Hugh Miner and Terry Carraher, 115 points; Division 3 – Bob Leo and Glen Davis, 116 points.

Bob Leo and Glen Davis won as grand champions in a playoff among division leaders. Wayne Hamblin shot a 78 – two strokes below his age!

The Men’s Golf Association played Nov. 30 and the format was three best net balls of the foursome. Marco Cantele, Paul Hogan, Dick Baldwin, Dan DiMarco, 17 under par. Margo Cantele won low net with 62.

Beacon Ridge: The Ladies Golf Association played Nov. 29 in a team event with only scores on all par-4 holes used for scoring: Nancy Cunningham, Mary Snead, Sarah Abbott, Kathleen Deignan, 71; Hilde Krallinger, Ellen Leslie, Dawn Shapiro, Blind Draw, 72.

Mary Snead won closest to the pin on No. 7.

Whispering Pines: The Pinettes played in a T & F tournament on the West Course, net scores only, Nov. 29 and the winners were: Flight 1 – Elke Phillingane, 36; Dot DeMasi, tied at 37, with Debbie McCormick. Flight 2 – Sallie Daughtrey, 38; Nancy Donley, tied at 40, with Gladys Wade. Flight 3 – Pam Venet, tied at 37, with Louise Warnimont. Flight 4 – Betty Winslow, 25; Pam Dodge, 36; Joyce Reitler, tied at 37, with Clare Nacca.

Whispering Woods: The Men’s Golf Association played Nov. 28 in a captain’s choice, three-man teams: Charley Brady, Bud Henty, Rich Moran, 77.

The Men’s Golf Association played a “man-in-the-box” tournament plus one low net. The winning team of Glenn Bernhard, Al Gaeta and Rich Moran scored 136.

Knollwood: The Rainmakers played Nov. 28 in a captain’s choice tournament: First – Diane Hendrick, Dot Harper, Miyuki Kallagis and Marie Wojcieszak, 36. Second – Liz Marks, Penny Higgins, Barbara Mellinger and Honey Hackett, 37.

The Sandblasters played an individual low net ­tournament Nov. 30: Flight 1 – Mike Lloyd, 34; Ron Flock, 35 (MOC); John Mannion, 35 (MOC).
