The Pinecrest volleyball team completed a 3-0 first week of the season by dispatching Western Harnett 25-14, 25-11 and 25-18 at home on Thursday.

Megan Thomas was credited with 15 assists for the winners. Felicia Painter had 10 kills and Amber Goodwin and Ashleigh Welton contributed seven each. Rae Nunez had seven digs and Keegan Lynch had five.

The Patriots did not lose a set in winning the three home matches. They get their first taste of road action when they travel to Jack Britt for a 6 p.m. contest on Monday.
