The Dixie Youth Baseball World Series draws to a close today at Hillcrest Park with championship games.

The tournaments are double-elimination events.

In the Majors division (12-and-under) there are three teams with one loss each. Louisiana faces Arkansas at 11 a.m. The team that wins that game will then face Georgia in the winner take-all championship game at 7 p.m.

In the AAA division (10-and-under), Arkansas faces Florida at 10 a.m. If Arkansas, with one loss, wins then the two teams will play again at 6 p.m. Florida hasn't lost in tournament action.

In Majors action Wednesday, Georgia defeated North Carolina 8-6, while Arkansas stopped Louisiana 6-1.

In AAA play Wednesday, Florida defeated Texas 14-5, while Arkansas defeated North Carolina 7-6.
