On Tuesday, Aug. 9, the Military Child Education Coalition and Moore County Schools will host a "Living in the New Normal (LINN)" professional development practicum at Southern Middle School from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

LINN is the new environment of multiple and continuous wartime deployments that military families live in today.

The purpose is to provide attendees with a basic knowledge of the elements of resilience and how to apply resilience-building skills to foster this quality in military children.

Family members, educators, faith-based organizations, child care providers, first responders and the public are invited to attend.

The training is free but space is limited and attendees must register at www.MilitaryChild.org and click on Upcoming Trainings.
