Comedy Series Presents Jeff Jena

The Arts Council of Moore County and Dr. Christine Gatti and Dogwood Dental Associates present the final show in the new Moore Puns Comedy Series featuring professional comedian Jeff Jena Saturday, Aug. 13, at 8 p.m. at the Sunrise Theater.

Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults and $5 for high school and college students.

"While Jeff's material is clean, these shows may not be appropriate for children under the age of 14," says a spokesman.

In his 30 years as a stand-up comic, Jeffrey Jena has appeared on more than 40 national television shows, including "Comics Unleashed," "The Dennis Miller Show," "Evening at the Improv" and "The Showtime Comedy Club Network."

Jena has also written jokes for a wide variety of comedians, including Ron White and Marty Allen. He is also a frequent guest on the "Bob and Tom Show," a nationally syndicated radio show, and the Mark Germain talk show in Los Angeles.

As an actor he has been seen on "Murder She Wrote," "Hunter," appeared in shows with Jenny McCarthy and Weird Al Yankovic, and in several films, including "Raising the Dead" with Allison Eastwood.

Jena has played more than 1,000 venues, including clubs, Las Vegas and cruise ships. He has opened for acts as varied as Barry Manilow, Jeffrey Osborne, The Temptations, Delbert McClinton and Englebert Humperdinck.
