Springfest 2011

Sunny skies greeted a good turnout for Springfest in downtown Southern Pines today.

This year's event featured displays by local businesses, community organizations, and fine artists and craftspeople. There were bicycle races, amusement rides, delectable eats and treats, and entertainment throughout the day.

Festival goers this year were treated to more entertainment options with the addition of a second stage in the grassy area beside the Sunrise Theater.

Entertainment on the main stage included the Quicksilver Cloggers, Sandhills Teen Challenge Band, Kirstan Hansen and James Kuczero, John Rachels Entertainment and the Jason Adamo Trio.

Springfest is sponsored by the Southern Pines Business Association and it's co-sponsored by the town of Southern Pines.
