Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Village Arboretum in Pinehurst.
The concert is co-sponsored by The First Tee Sandhills and the village of Pinehurst Department of Parks and Recreation. Proceeds will benefit The First Tee Sandhills.
“As he did last year, Gill will donate his performance to The First Tee Sandhills,” says a spokesman.
Gill is a member of the Grand Ole Opry. An avid golfer, Gill helped create the annual Vince Gill Pro-Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament (“The Vinny”) in 1993 in order to help support junior golf programs throughout Tennessee. Besides being known for his talent as a performer, musician and songwriter, Gill is one of country music’s most active and effective humanitarians. He has participated in hundreds of charitable events throughout his career. In 2006, the Academy of Country Music honored him as its Humanitarian of The Year.
Tickets are available locally at Robert’s Golf Shop (Aberdeen), Moore Music (Southern Pines), The Country Bookshop (Southern Pines), Pinehurst Village Hall and the Theatre Building in the village of Pinehurst.
