Aberdeen Man Arrested After Foot Chase

An Aberdeen man has been arrested by Southern Pines police who were conducting a narcotics investigation.
Roosevelt Robinson Jr., 22, of Aberdeen, was nabbed by police April 10 after he took off running on foot when approached by patrol officers on Richards Street in Southern Pines, according to a press release.
The patrol officers were responding to a report of drug activity. After a brief pursuit during which Robinson discarded drugs, he was apprehended. When apprehended, he was found to be possessing brass knuckles.
Robinson was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and second-degree trespass. He was jailed, with bail set at $25,000.
