Sandhills Children’s Center, in partnership with Kober Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors LLC, will be showcasing its 12th annual Run for the Roses Wine and Beer Tasting on Friday, April 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the historical Fair Barn in Pinehurst.

The entire evening and all its tempting treats costs $55 per person for general admission or $75 for premium admission to the Jockey Club. Sponsorship opportunities range from the $300 level of a Belmont Stakes sponsor to the $2,500 level of a Triple Crown sponsor. All Run for the Roses sponsors will receive recognition per sponsorship level on signage at the event and premium admission tickets to the Jockey Club Tasting Tent.

The large scale tasting is made possible by Mutual Distributing Co., hosted by Peter Zahran, and some of the Sandhills’ best restaurants.

“Sample great food from the culinary offerings of local chefs and enjoy an exceptional collection of wines presented and served by knowledgeable wine representatives,” says a spokesman. “An exciting addition this year is the Beer Garden provided by Elliotts on Linden offering tastings of exclusive brews.”

All proceeds raised through the Run for the Roses benefit Sandhills Children’s Center, a private, nonprofit day school helping children birth to 5 years old, with and without special developmental needs.

Sandhills Children’s Center serves Moore, Richmond and surrounding counties in North Carolina.
