The Artists League of the Sandhills is calling all artists to take part in the Moore Public Art Program.

"We are inviting all local area artists to submit artwork to the Artists League for selection into this program that will display artwork at FirstHealth's Center for Health & Fitness and Outpatient Center for Rehabilitation in Pinehurst, and the Moore County Social Services building in Carthage," says a spokesman.

The Artists League of the Sandhills has taken over this endeavor from the Arts Council of Moore County.

"This program has become a great opportunity for local artists to showcase and sell their work while creating an aesthetic environment for people who use these facilities," says the spokesman.

The facilities are high traffic areas with more than 450,000 combined visits per year.

To participate in this program, artwork must be available for display for at least five months, must be for sale, and meet approved criteria. Once approved, paintings/photography will be received at the League April 18-22. Applications are available at the Artists League of the Sandhills, 129 Exchange St., Aberdeen.
