Patrick Coughlin has been named to the board of the Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE).

The board approved the 2010-2011 slate earlier this summer during its annual conference in Blowing Rock.

Coughlin became president and CEO of the Moore County Chamber of Commerce in May 2006. During his tenure, he has worked with volunteer leaders to stabilize membership and financial performance, grow program offerings and enhance the Chamber's value to the community.

In 2009, under his leadership, American Chamber of Commerce Executives recognized the Moore County Chamber as one of three finalists for the prestigious national Chamber of the Year.

Coughlin achieved the designation certified chamber executive (CCE) from American Chamber of Commerce Executives in 2004. He is one of the youngest chief executive officers to achieve this mark of excellence, a news release said.

In addition to serving on many local boards and initiatives, Coughlin was recognized this year by Fort Bragg's Operation Certain Trust for outstanding contributions to training Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations soldiers.

Coughlin is beginning his second year on the CACCE board, where he will serve as co-chair of the association's annual management conference.
