@nm43--Stirring the pot, I see. Not that I am opposed "getting up the dander" of all those PHS folks, but you will probably hear the same things they have been saying for the last four years--winning gives confidence, and winning breeds winning. I'm sure the "2 year contract" bit will be thrown in too. Well, since we are on year 4 of the Metzger leadership, it would seem the contracts should have expired or will after this year. I guess we will have to see who is scheduled for next year to know when it stops.

Some 3A schools are decent, but pinecrest schedules scrubs. Hopefully, they will start to increase the competition out of conference. But hey, they could be like Union Pines and schedule bad 1A teams and still lose. In fact, pinecrest knows all too well about scheduling smaller teams and losing.

Its great that Pinecrest is winning now because they will be tested soon. They have some very tough games coming up against Richmond and Scotland.

There are some good 3A schools that could take Pinecrest apart (i.e. Douglas Byrd). They just don't happen to be on Pinecrest's schedule.
UP needs to drop all these 1A schools (except North Moore, of course). Games like those help the 1A schools more than they help UP. And, at least UP got a taste of 3A competition versus Cardinal Gibbons.
