Hole-In-One: Janet Schultz, a member at Whispering Pines, scored her fifth hole-in-one on Sept. 14 while playing the 144-yard fifth hole on the West Course. She used her Bazooka 7-wood.
Three of her other aces were at Whispering Pines, and one at her course in Florida.
Witnessing this right-on shot that hit the green and tracked into the hole were Mary Ann Blake, Marilyn Merry and Sandy Hallet.
Pinetop: The Pinetop Tournament was held at Seven Lakes Country Club on Sept. 14 with 79 participants. Here are the results:

On Sept. 9 in a one best net ball and the one worst net ball the winning team consisted of Sandra Eriksson, Jean Gleason, Jan Fisher and Sandy Carroll with 134.
Seven Lakes: The Nine Hole Lakers played on Sept. 8 and the game was "Two Putts Max." The winners were:
Flight 1 - Carol Dunn, 32; Betsy Jones, 34.
Flight 2 - Dodie Lynn, 37.
The Nine Hole Lakers played on Sept. 15 and the game was a Step-Aside Scramble. Diane Boston, Carol Dunn, Sandy Zimmer and Evie Launhardt won with a score of 44.
Pinehurst: The Chippers played on Sept. 15 in a game of Even Holes plus the 9th hole with 50 percent of each player's handicap used for scoring. Jeanne Mager led with 17 and Marie Richmond and Alexandra Carter tied at 20.
The Birdies played on Sept. 13 and the game was "Bookends," two best balls on holes 1, 9, 10 and 18 and one best ball on all other holes.

Beacon Ridge: The annual Susan G. Komen Golf Tournament was played on Sept. 13 with more than $4000 raised for cancer research. The format for the day was two best balls of the foursome.

Knollwood: The Sandblasters played on Sept. 14 and the game was two best balls of the foursome with following winners:

The Men's Golf Association Stroke Play Championship, played over 36 holes, was held on Sept. 15 and 16. The results are as follows:
n The Open Division Champion is Herb Conway with 149 in a playoff with Cory Lewis.
n The Open Division Flight 2 Champion is Pat O'Malley with 162. Phil Guzzo had 172.
n The Open Division Flight 3 Champion is Pat Lynch with 175. Rich Gibbons had 176.
n The Senior Division Flight 1 Champion is Art Woodward with 160. Paul Sams had 161.
n The Senior Division Flight 2 Champion is George Venet with 171. Ron Hendrick had 172.
n The Super Senior Division Champion is Fred Gruninger with 163. Dick Strine, tied at 171, with Bill Saylor.
Midland: The Men's Golf Association played on Sept. 15 in a Nassau Tournament with a two best balls of the foursome format.
Overall - Joe Alden, Tom Bernett, John Conroy and Frank Griffin, 123. Steve Zachary won low gross with 80. In a 9-Hole Skins Game, Dick Kelly had the only skin on No. 3.
The Midland Ladies played on Sept. 9 in a Plate Day contest. JoAnne Rabdau won with gross 71 in the 18-Hole division. Doris Stone won with 34 gross in the 9-Hole division.
Whispering Woods: The Men's Golf Association played on Sept. 15 and the competition was one low net plus a second low net on the ninth and 18th holes. The winners: Al Gaeta, John Hamm, Bud Henty, Rich Moran, 64.
On Sept. 13 the game was Three, Two and One net scores based on red, white or blue flag. The team of Bill Blades, Blake Hetterich, Bud Henty and Blind draw carded 121.
The Ladies Golf Association played on Sept. 7 in an Honest Abby Game. Every player guesses the score they think they will shoot in the game. Those who shoot their number are the winners.
Carole Huber and Lisa Ritchie came within one of their number. Tina Burns came within three of her number.
The Ladies Golf Association played a game where every stroke inside 100 yards does count as your first stroke. The winners: Carol Carlson, 50; Margret Endrigat, 54; Tina Burns, 58; Jerry Scalia, 61.
Pinewild: The Women's Golf Association held their annual "Sadie Hawkins" Tournament on Sept. 14 and the game was a modified alternate shot format on the Magnolia Course.
