The Pinehurst Police Department provided the following information.

Reports

Aug. 27: Male, 17, reported another driver failed to see before starting his vehicle resulting in an collision with the victim’s 2005 Jeep; male, 56, reported an unknown subject attempted to enter his home in the 100 block of W. McKenzie Road; male, 75, reported a subject pulled out in front of his 2004 Cadillac causing damage to both vehicles. The incident happened on Page Road near Memorial Drive; an employee with Pinehurst Surgical reported that a subject obtained prescription medication by fraud; male, 41, reported a tire from another subject’s vehicle detached from the vehicle and struck and damaged three vehicles in the Traffic Circle.

Aug. 28: Police responded to a call for extra patrol on Vixen Lane due to a previous domestic disturbance and larceny; male, 60, reported the loss or theft of six guitar pedals from a parking lot area on Dogwood Road; police responded to a report of a disturbance in the emergency room at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Aug. 29: Male, 22, reported he had credit cards taken in a domestic dispute at the St. Andrews condominiums; male, 53, reported receiving an email from a subject attempting to extort money from him.

Sept. 1: Female, 69, reported an unknown subject took jewelry from a closed container in her home in the 800 block of Monticello Drive; a female reported to police that her 11-year-old daughter may be speaking with an older male; female, 54, reported that her son became irate and began breaking things at her residence in the 700 block of Monticello Drive; male, 63, reported finding counterfeit checks cashed electronically from his account; female, 54, reported an unknown subject was in her garage of her home in the 100 block of Wild Turkey Run without her knowledge and took a gas-powered leaf blower and a hand saw; male, 73, reported he received a scam phone call at his home on St. Andrews Drive; female, 41, reported repeatedly receiving threatening phone calls on her cell phone from an unknown subject.

Sept. 2: An officer reported finding a single pill in the floor board of a holding area of a patrol vehicle; male, 47, reported a subject verbally harassed him in a incident on Pine Tree Road.
