Arrests

Aug. 16: Marcuse Antwon Evans, 26, of Raeford, failure to return hired property and failure to appear (order for arrest).

Aug. 18: David Rashawn Shaw, 26, of Southern Pines, communicating threats, cyber stalking.

Aug. 21: Dolly Marie Hudson, 47, of Fuquay-Varina, possession of a controlled substance, seat beat violation (adult).

Aug. 22: Darly Wayne Hardwick, 49, of West End, driving while impaired.

Reports

Aug. 21: Female, 65, reported someone took her purse while she was at the Elks Club golf course, 280 Country Club Drive. The purse contained earrings, a jewelry box, wallet, indentification and credit cards, car keys, a camera and a cell phone; Female, 25, reported someone changed the total amount on a check; Male, 33, reported someone entered his 1997 BMW and removed a firearm and a checkbook; Male, 41, reported someone entered his 2008 Dodge Ram truck and took $120, a range finder and a bag.

Aug. 23: Male, 53, reported someone threw a rock through the window of his 2002 Ford truck and entered toolbox in the vehicle without the owner’s consent; Female, 49, reported receiving harrassing text, phone calls and e-mails; Female, 26, reported she dropped a ring in the parking lot in the 10800 block of U.S. 15-501; An employee with Bullock’s Towing reported someone trespassed on his property and took four tires; Female, 46, reported someone used her debit card to fraudulently obtain cash.

Aug. 24: Female, 71, reported someone entered her 2003 Jaguar without her permission while the vehicle was parked in the 100 block of North Highland Road; Male, 71, reported someone had pawned stolen property to City Pawn, 275 W. Morganton Road; A female employee at Country Bookshop reported someone had spray-painted a brick wall in the 100 block of North West Broad Street; An employee with Brownson Memorial Church, 330 S. May St., reported someone damaged a handicapped parking sign by placing a park bench on the sign; An employee with Powell Funeral Home, 160 E. New Hampshire Ave., reported someone spray-painted business property; Police received a report of spray-paint vandalism on a wall near the 100 block of East Pennsylvania Avenue;

Police received a report that someone entered two vehicles parked in the 200 block of Lazar Lane and removed cash and a debit card; A town of Southern Pines employee reported someone vandalized town property, damaging pavement and signs at the Campbell House; Police received a report that someone spray-painted a school bus parked in the 200 block of May Street.

Aug. 25: A male employee of the First Baptist Church, 200 E. New York Ave., reported someone attempted to break into the church, damaging a door on the building; Male, 29, reported someone broke a window on his 1998 Lincoln and took a wallet from inside the vehicle that was parked in the 800 block of Mechanic Street;

Police received a report of stolen medication from an apartment in the 100 block of North May Street.

Aug. 26: Male, 64, reported someone cut the top on his 2004 Nissan convertible; An employee with the Sly Fox, 795 SW Broad St., reported two incidents in which someone took $43.50 from the business on one occasion and $44.84 on another; An employee with the Richard Costanza Law Office, 375 SE Broad St., reported that someone called the business and left a threatening phone message.

Aug. 27: Police responded to the intersection of North Ashe and Pennsylvania Avenue for the vandalism to two stop signs.
