Rose Bounces Pats From Volleyball Playoffs

Two-time defending state champion J.H. Rose got off to a fast start and knocked Pinecrest out of the state volleyball playoffs, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-14 in Greenville Thursday evening.

The Patriots, the second seed from the Southeastern Conference, ended their season with a record of 24-7. Rose (23-0) and Scotland County (24-0) were to meet in Laurinburg on Saturday for a berth in the 4A state final four.
