Charges are pending against a South Carolina man after a two-vehicle collision Sunday night on N.C. 211 near Seven Lakes.

German Reyes Luna, 24, of Fort Mills, S.C., was driving his 1991 Honda east at a speed exceeding the 55-mph limit when his car crossed the center line and hit a 2007 Jeep driven by Crystal Chriscoe Lincoln, 29, of Seagrove, according to Trooper B.J. Smith of the state highway patrol.

Luna was taken by helicopter to Duke Hospital where he was treated and released and Lincoln was unhurt, Smith said.

Trooper Smith said the wreck is still under investigation.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

@the one says..... you must not be in the know, the other person was transported to Moore Regional by ambulance.

Well obviously you were home listening to a scanner or something. I work with public safety. He was transported to MRH to the heli pad. He never went into Moore Regional. Care was transferred to Duke life flight out side in ambulance!

Thanks Again to Moore county EMS for all the hard work you guys do!

A staff report

ABERDEEN - Speed was a factor in the Sunday crash on N.C. 211 near Seven Lakes that injured one person, the Highway Patrol said today.

The accident was reported at about 7:40 p.m., according to Trooper B.J. Smith.

German Reyes Luna, 24, of Fort Mills, S.C., the driver of a 1991 Honda, was traveling east when his car crossed the center line, Smith said.

The Honda slid sideways into the front of a 2007 Jeep driven by Crystal Chriscoe Lincoln, 29, of Seagrove, Smith said.

Luna was taken to Duke University Hospital where he was treated and released this morning, Smith said.

Lincoln was not hurt, Smith said.

Luna was speeding in the 55-mph zone, Smith said. Charges are pending.

I am glad that everyone is all right, but I have to ask a question. Is Mr. Luna a legal citizen? Will he have any insurance to pay for the damage he caused? If he is illegal will he be deported after he made to pay to make his victim whole?
Why do I bring this up because if he is illegal it illustrates a growing problem with illegal immigrants coming to this country and driving. They then cause wrecks which they are unable to offer any insurance, then they are deported. If he is illegal then make him pay back the victim, and then jail him and then deport him not to Northern Mexico, but to the extreme Southern part of Mexico. At least this way he will have to work to get back to the United States. Just a thought
