ChathamArts Sustainable Cinema presents a special "Spooktacular" Friday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. at Fearrington Barn, between Pittsboro and Chapel Hill
This Halloween horror film fest also features a zombie vs. vampire dance off.
"Join us for a spooktacular evening of frightful and fun films featuring a selection of 'Spooky Shorts' and 'Fistful of Brains,' a campy, gory, and often laugh-inducing spaghetti western zombie feature, directed by Sanford filmmaker Christine Parker and shot in Smithfield," says a spokesman.
Films include "A House in Los Osos," directed by Mark Cornell, of Chapel Hill, in which a man believes that he has seen the ghost of his recently deceased wife; "Night Scare," directed by Marcus Bones, in which a young woman, at home alone for the night, thinks she hears a noise; "The Piano Teacher," directed by Andrew Young and Dominic Smith; and "Dr. Undead's Frightfest," directed by Adam Tate, an homage to the late night horror anthologies and spooky hosts of television's broadcast infancy
The cost at the door is $8
