The Pinecrest volleyball team will make a third attempt to defeat Scotland County in tonight's Southeastern Conference tournament championship match.

The Patriots (9-2 conference and 22-5 overall) meet the Scots (11-0, 21-2-2) at 6 p.m. in Laurinburg.

The Patriots advanced with a 23-25, 25-16, 25-14 and 25-15 semi-final win over Purnell Swett at home on Tuesday. Both of their regular season league losses were to Scotland. The Scots made it to the final by sweeping Richmond Senior.
