Brandon Blomberg

A Cameron man was arrested Monday in connection with a theft that occurred in August.

Brandon William Blomberg, 23, of 1498 Stanton Hill Road, Cameron, has been charged with one count of felony break and enter to a motor vehicle, one count of misdemeanor larceny and one count of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, according to a press release.

Blomberg’s arrest by Moore County Sheriff’s Office investigators was related to an Aug. 31 report from a Cameron woman that someone had broken into her truck and taken a camera, while also taking the truck’s license plate, according to the release.

Blomberg had been arrested by law enforcement officers on Aug. 31 and charged in two other Cameron area break-ins that occurred that same day.

Blomberg was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Can someone PLEASE let me know how this sorry S.O.B is out of jail? He broke into my house and had multiple felonies in addition to the charges at my house. Now am I to understand that he was free to walk the streets and do this again? What am I missing here?

Nevermind, the story was a tad confusing to me. He's safe & sound in the Moore County Inn where he needs to be.

He has obviously made his choice to be a career criminal. So far he hasn't hurt anyone. How about we get serious BEFORE he does. I know it's tough being proactive and all but it's just a thought.

Chuck,

That's true. North Carolina may not be a full Castle Doctrine state, but you can still get him at the door.

He has been in jail ever since August. He was just served with an additional charge. Although it says he got a written promise he is still under a $125,000 bond for the other ones.
