The Sandhills Community College volleyball team got its biggest win of the season Friday night, beating conference rival Davidson Community College in five sets, 25-13, 25-19, 25-27, 22-25, 17-15.

The win gave the Flyers a season split with Davidson and moved them into a tie for first place in the conference. Overall, the Flyers are 16-6 (4-1). The victory was their fifth straight.

Miranda Love continued her strong play with 29 kills and 52 digs. Sarah Thomas had 12 kills, 26 digs, and five blocks.

Paige Horne led the team with 47 assists. Horne and Mandy Blair each had four service aces.

The Flyers are back in action Thursday against Central Carolina Community College at 7 p.m. It is also Sophomore Night.
