Party of 'Know'

Democrats love to refer to the Republican Party as the party of “no.” They have the pronunciation of the word correct but the spelling wrong.

Republicans “know” that unless the Bush tax credits are entirely extended, unemployment will remain high as job creation will be stifled by an almost 4 percent tax increase on both small and large businesses during this recession.

Republicans “know” that if the tax credits are entirely extended, people and businesses will begin to create revenue as the fear of finding employment begins to ease and consumer confidence, once again, resumes.

Republicans “know” the current health care bill is raising and will raise premiums on current health care coverage. Republicans “know” people and businesses that do not have insurance will be penalized. Republicans “know” this is unfair and must be changed.

Republicans “know” that if the cap and trade bill passes the Democrat-controlled Senate, every American household will see their fuel and electric bills increase. Republicans “know” Americans cannot afford this.

Republicans “know” we need more security on our borders to reduce the number of illegal immigrants entering our country.

Republicans also “know” President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress have increased the national debt in two years to an unprecedented level of $14 trillion by the end of this year. Republicans “know” the bailouts and takeovers of the federal government must stop!

Republicans “know” what is at stake for all Americans when you vote on Nov. 2. Now you “know.”

I "know" what they want, and I say "no". No, for tax breaks for the upper class. No, on the same old thinking.

Ms. McLellan "knows" what she is talking about! Trillions in taxpayer debt is being poured into the bottomless black-hole of leftist wealth redistribution programs under the guise of stimulus while we sit silent watching Obamanation grow in power! Obama and his minions, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, and Frank, have a very different vision for America one based on redistribution (where is Joe the plumber when you need him?) not equal access to freedom! Freedom to make your own decisions, invest and risk your own capital, chose your own health care, own your own property, and keep what you earned and sacrificed for by the sweat of your brow. It's called economic freedom......capitalism! The clock isn't just ticking, time is running out, Obama's "Hope and Change" is catching up to all of us and the only winners are the entitlement mentality Americans who are sucking the hard working Americans dry! Vote November 2nd to "change" the current dismantling of America's direction and pray (while we're still able) that the party of "know" has the wisdom and courage to lead us on the road to real recovery!

Why oh why can there not be a reasoned debate on the issues but rather this mass hysteria. Where if William Buckley when we need him?

Dear S Martin, It is what it is. By his own admission, President Obama has told the NY Times Magazine this week, that "Shovel Ready Projects" were a failure.

By his own admission President Obama, admitted months ago, that we all need to get use to possible 10% and higher, unemployment for the next two years.

The DEBT Clock, S Martin, is ticking. When China decides they no longer want to deal with our debt, We all are in for YET another shock wave, INFLATION and a 2nd Recession.

10% Unemployment. Homes in Nevada, alone, 70% underwater. By the end of this year, the National Debt $14 Trillion. Yeh, I pretty much believe in what has been posted above, and It is scarry, S Martin, very scarry. We are trending into unchartered waters, if this recession is compounded by yet another slow down in the economy when inflation kicks in. This 1st recession alone, is turning into the longest one since the Great Depression.

We here in Pinehurst and So. Pines, have been very fortunate to of been some what insulated from all that is going on outside of our area. There is a small county in Ohio, Trumbull County, near to where I grew up. Last year alone, there were 1900 sheriff sale auctions of homes in this rural county alone. That is over three auctions per day. Whether a Democrat or Republican, The spending has to stop. The Debt, reduced, and Re visit the new Health Care Bill. Businesses, whether big or little are afraid, hanging on their money and not hiring because they simply do not know what the stakes are in 2011. Diane

Dear Ms. Martin, I'll tell you where William F. Buckley is......rolling over in his grave due to Obama's liberal agenda to change our great nation! WFB was a true conservative believing in the principles of limited government, more individual freedom, personal responsibility, moral values, low taxes and a strong national defense! Since you like to quote Mr. Buckley, try this one on for size:

“Liberals, it has been said, are generous with other peoples' money, except when it comes to questions of national survival when they prefer to be generous with other people's freedom and security.”
