Southern Pines Police Reports Through Oct. 7

The Southern Pines Police Department provided the following information.

Arrests

Sept. 27: Kevin Reddrick Chavis, 43, of Pinebluff, assault on a female by male over 18 years of age.

Sept. 28: Dexion Devon Wright, 17, of Jackson Springs, contributing to the delinquency of a minor; Secoya Shenay Marsh, 22, of Southern Pines, assault inflicting serious injury and telephoning repeatedly for the purpose of annoying.

Sept. 30: Patricia Bailey, 27, of Pinebluff, failure to appear; James Lander McLeod, 26, of Hoffman, failure to appear.

Oct. 1: Albert Willie McKenzie, 44, of Laurinburg, felony larceny and misdemeanor larceny.

Oct. 2: Andreal Nadine Medlin, 29, of Southern Pines, driving while impaired; Gary Dean Cheatham Jr., 19, of Southern Pines, felony breaking and entering a building and larceny after a breaking and entering; Nancy Lee Hardy, of Southern Pines, simple assault; Sean Jeremy McLean, 24, of Southern Pines, assault on a female by male over 18 years of age

Oct. 3: Kovacs Kieron Troutman, 27, of Southern Pines, second degree trespass.

Reports

Sept. 29: An employee with Harris and Sons Construction, Seven Lakes, reported someone entered a construction site at 530 NW Broad Street and stole copper wire and plumbing pipes, a tool box and other items.

Sept. 30: Police responded to a report that someone damaged the grass at the Elks Lodge & Golf Club; An employee with the Town of Southern Pines reported someone vandalized a basketball goal by writing on it with a Sharpie marker; Male, 30, reported someone entered his home in the 1000 block of Richards Street and took a laptop, a video game console, a video game and game charger.

Oct. 1: An employee from Penick Village reported someone stole cash from a cash box stored in a desk drawer at the facility; Female, 65, reported someone entered her home on Village Green Circle and stole assorted jewelry, a digital camera, several purses, pillows, rugs, a sofa throw, clothing and sunglasses.

Oct. 2: An employee of the Southern Pines Library reported damage to books in the book drop because someone had disposed of beer cans in the drop; Female, 93, reported she was hit by a male at her home in the 100 block of Fox Hollow Court; Male, 39, reported someone entered a home in the 200 block of Murray Hill Road and stole a laptop, DVDs, and a external CD drive. The items were recovered.

Oct. 3: Female, 29, reported that someone took a cell phone from her while she was at the Bell Tree Restaurant, 155 NE Broad St.; Male, 44, reported he was robbed while in the parking lot in the 200 block of Tanglewood Drive. The items taken include a wallet, cash, cell phone, a purse, various identity cards, a cell phone, digital camera, iPod and keys; Male, 48, reported someone attempted to hot-wire his 1997 Chevy that was parked in the 100 block of NE Broad Street.

Oct. 4: Female, 38, reported that someone assaulted a person while they were on the ground during an incident in the 600 block of SE Service Road.

Oct. 5: An employee with the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills, 160 Memorial Park Court, reported someone spray painted graffiti on the building and in the parking lot; Female, 60, reported that someone stole her social security number from her home in the 200 block of Hunter Trail.

Oct. 7: Male, 27, reported someone entered his home in the 1200 block fo New York Ave. and took items, including a Nintendo game console, three pairs of pants and a hooded sweatshirt.
