Finish Lines: Local Drivers Look to Move Up at WEG

Moore County-based drivers had some catching up to do after the dressage competition at the World Equestrian Games at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Going into Saturday's marathon phase, Bill Long, of Southern Pines, was in a tie for 18th place, fellow Southern Pines driver Gary Stover was in 20th place, and Cameron's Cindy O'Reilly was in 24nd place.
n Local eventer Will Faudree will ride Jennifer Mosing's 9-year-old Irish thoroughbred mare Andromaque in next weekend's Boekelo CCI*** in Holland.
n The first meeting of the newly formed Sandhills Equestrian Association will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Moore County Chamber of Commerce.

n The Autumn in the Pines Hunter/Jumper Show, a USEF "A" sanctioned event, will be run at the Carolina Horse Park from Oct. 21-24.
