O’Neal cross-country faced off against Cary Christian and other guests at the Wake Med Soccer Complex in Cary.
The girls' team finished fifth of six with 104 points. Juniors Theresa Berg and Alana Godbey led the team again, with. Berg finishing in seventh at 22:11 and Godbey in 14th at 23:28.
Aleksandra Majka came in at third for her team, a first for her, in 27th place and 26:11 for her time. Courtney Morrison ran in 29th at 26:30 and Micaela Wilkinson in 37th at 27:40 to wrap up the team scoring. Closing out the team entries were Bronti Viskovich in 38th (27:41) and Allison Johnson in 43rd (29:55).
The boys' team pulled out a third place finish (out of 5) with 96 points.
Lead runner Austin Puleo came over the line in eighth with 18:36 followed by Evan Davies in 11th at 19:16. Ian Maynor finished in 16th at 20:08. Josh Hager and Maxwell Winter closed out the boys' scoring with a 29th (23:00) and 32nd (23:27), respectively.
Leading the seventh grade pack in 34th was Evan Miles with a 23:37. He was followed in succession by Tomi Lawal (35th, 23:43) and Matt Hutchens (36th, 23:46).
The other runners for the boys were John Anderson (39th, 26:53), Nick Manning (40th, 29:56), and TC Mann (41st, 30:44).
The Falcons will race at home on October 18th for the CFIC Conference Championship.
