U.P. Netters Roll Gray's Creek

The Union Pines Lady Vikings closed out the week with a 3-0 sweep over league foe Gray's Creek Thursday in Cameron.

With the Cape Fear Valley Conference victory, the Viking volleyball team is 6-2 in league play and 11-5 overall, while Gray's Creek (4-13) dropped to 3-4 in the conference standings.

Now the stage is set for second-place Union Pines' showdown with league leading Western Harnett, Tuesday in Lillington.

The Vikings brings a six-game CFVC winning streak into the tilt against first place Western Harnett, which is undefeated atop the league standings at 8-0.
