A Southern Pines man was arrested Monday by investigators from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly stealing a truck.

Neal Monroe, 53, 690 McNeill Road, Southern Pines, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to a press release. The arrest stemmed from a Nov. 15 report that a vehicle had been stolen in the Southern Pines area of Moore County, according to the release.

Monroe was released on a written promise to appear in court.
