The Vass Area Library, at 128 Seaboard St., in Vass, will exhibit fine artwork and whimsical drawings by local artist Diane Kraudelt.

The exhibit runs through Nov. 30. Kraudelt specializes in portraying people and animals and also paints portraits, still life studies, landscapes and abstracts.

Kraudelt is an exhibiting artist at Hollyhocks Art Gallery, in Pinehurst; at Artist Alley, in Southern Pines; at White Heron Gallery, in Dunn; at Moring Arts and Crafts Gallery, in Asheboro; and at Crossroads Gallery, in Richmond, Va. She is a member of the Artists League of the Sandhills, the Fine Arts League of Cary and the Arts Council of Moore County.

Kraudelt has won many awards for her work, including a recent second place at the 2010 Fine Arts League of Cary Miniature and Small Works Art Show for her oil painting titled "Still Life Of Fruit."
