S.P. Police Arrest Two on Various Charges

Southern Pines police responding to a report of drug activity Friday arrested two men on various charges.

Ryan JaHodd Horton, 17, of Southern Pines, was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and manufacturing marijuana, according to a press release. Carson Anthony Johnson, 20, of Aberdeen, was charged with resist, delay and obstructing an officer, according to the release.

The arrest stemmed from the Southern Pines police investigating the reported drug activity at 1010 Richards Street, Brookside Apartments, according to the release. Members of the department’s investigation and patrol divisions discovered and seized the marijuana when responding to the report, according to the release.

Horton was jailed, with bail set at $20,000.

Johnson was charged on a uniformed citation and released to North Carolina Department of Community Corrections Probation/Parole officers on outstanding warrants.
