RSVP Community Theatre announces auditions for its summer production of "Oklahoma!" Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to noon and Monday, May 31, from 7 to 9 p.m.

For those who are unable to audition at the above times due to the Memorial Day weekend, RSVP has added an additional audition session, which will be on Wednesday, June 2, at 6 p.m. at the Arts Guild.

All auditions will be held in Asheboro's Moring Arts Center at 123 Sunset Ave.; participants are asked to use the rear entrance. Performances will be July 30 and 31 and Aug. 1 and 6-8, at the Asheboro High School Performing Arts Center. Rick Morgan is the director.

Auditionees should be prepared to sing a song of their choice. An accompanist will be provided, or they may sing a cappella. They will be expected to read a scene from the "Oklahoma!" script. Finally, they will be expected to learn a very simple dance routine of about 15-30 seconds (wear comfortable clothing that you can move in). They should bring their calendar for June 1 through Aug. 8 to fill out a rehearsal conflict form. Auditions are open for those ages 10 and up.
