If you read The Pilot and if you have been using Midland Lane as your crossover between Midland Road and Airport Road, please note that Midland Lane is a private drive and the upkeep is purely the expense of the homeowners. It is very expensive to keep it in good condition. There is a paved thoroughfare right down the highway, and I ask that you please use this instead of Midland Lane. This is a private road and is so marked, although one can hardly see the little yellow “PVT” that has been put up on the brown markers.

If you are not visiting a residence or don’t have business with one of the homeowners, please refrain from using Midland Lane.
