The girls' soccer playoffs have reached the third round, and all three Moore County public high schools are still alive.

Southeastern Conference champion Pinecrest (18-3-1) is in action at Mid-South Conference champion Terry Sanford (20-1) tonight at 7 p.m. in the 4A East bracket.

The Lady Patriots handed the Lady Bulldogs their lone loss by a 2-0 score during the regular season.

Meanwhile, Cape Fear Valley Conference two-seed Union Pines (15-7-1) is at Carolina Conference two-seed Cardinal Gibbons (13-4-3) in the 3A East bracket and Yadkin Valley Conference two-seed North Moore (15-4-2) is at Western Highlands Conference champion Avery County (18-1-2) in the 1A bracket.

Both start times are set for 6 p.m.

There are also two softball playoff games scheduled for tonight.

Cape Fear Conference two-seed Union Pines (14-5) hosts Carolina Conference three-seed Orange High School (13-4) at 6 p.m. in the first round of the 3A East bracket, while Yadkin Valley Conference two-seed North Moore (24-4) hosts Yadkin Valley five-seed West Montgomery (9-13) at 6 p.m. in the second round of the 1A West bracket.
