Ms. N.C. Senior America Pageant Scheduled at Owens Auditorium

The Ms. North Carolina Senior America Pageant 2010 will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Owens Auditorium, Sandhills Community College, 3395 Airport Road, Pinehurst.

The state co-directors, Beverly Wetherbie, Ms. Virginia Senior America 2005, and Judy Kelly, Ms. N.C. Senior America 2000, announced that 10 women will be competing for the title of Ms. N.C. Senior America 2010. Becky Ross, Ms N.C. Senior America 2009, will crown the new Ms. N.C. Senior America 2010.

The Ms. Senior America Pageant is the world’s first and foremost pageant to emphasize and give honor to women who have reached the “age of elegance,” 60 years or better.

This is the fourth statewide pageant for Pinehurst. The participants are from all over North Carolina. The winner will represent the state at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., the week of Oct. 3 to 7 for the National Senior America Pageant, where she will compete for the title of Ms. Senior America 2010-11.

North Carolina Senior America is a nonprofit organization.
