Local singer-songwriter Kenny Freeman has released a CD of original country music songs.

Freeman, a multi-instrumentalist, played every instrument on the album as he produced and recorded it in his own home studio.

Freeman is a 1984 graduate of Pinecrest High School, where his mother, Evelyn Freeman, has taught for nearly 30 years.

He is a Moore County native and was raised in the Big Oak-Bensalem community.

Many of his songs have received top honors in national songwriting competitions. Freeman currently makes his home near Eastwood, where he owns and operates Ken’s BodyWorks and Collision autobody repair on Doubs Chapel Road.

Freeman enjoys playing his instruments and writing songs in his spare time. Plans are on the table to release the CD on websites such as CD-BABY, iTunes and Our Stage.

CDs can be purchased locally by visiting the body shop, calling (910) 235-0486 or e-mailing kensbodyworks@yahoo.com.
