The Moore County Joint Nursing Home/Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee will hold a meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at the Senior Enrichment Center.
Guest speakers Terri Prots, director of the Moore County Department of Aging, and Peggie Kennedy, family caregiver adviser information and assistance specialist, will discuss "There Is No Place Like Home for Growing Old."
"Come and learn about the many resources available to seniors in Moore County - meals, transportation, fitness, recreation and home health services," says a spokesman.
Have you ever had a family member or friend in need of rehabilitation or long-term care in a facility? Are you concerned about the quality of care provided to residents in a local facility?
The Moore County Nursing Home/Adult Care Home Advisory Committee, volunteers appointed by the County Board of Commissioners, are local residents who have made the commitment to make unannounced quarterly visits to long-term care facilities, talk with the residents about their care, and ensure that the spirit of the Residents' Bill of Rights is maintained.
