The baseball state playoff brackets were released by the N.C. High School Athletic Association on Wednesday. As expected, all three Moore County public high schools made the fields in their respective classifications.

Pinecrest (18-5), the top-seed from the Southeastern Conference, opens in the 4A East bracket at home against Mid-South four-seed Pine Forest (13-9). The game will be played Friday at John Williams Field at 7 p.m.

Union Pines (13-10), the second-seed from the Cape Fear Valley Conference, is also at home in the 3A East bracket, hosting Carolina Conference three-seed Cardinal Gibbons (16-7) Friday at 7 p.m.

North Moore (16-8) travels to Southern Piedmont Conference two-seed Bessemer City (11-11) in the 1A West bracket on Friday at 6 p.m.
