A Robbins man was charged Wednesday with stealing a motor vehicle.

Winford Dean Bowman, 44, 6245 N.C. 705, Robbins, is charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, according to a press release.

The arrest stemmed from a report received by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 13 from a Robbins man that a vehicle had been taken from his residence without his permission and that the vehicle had not been returned, according to the release.

The Ramseur Police Department located the vehicle in their jurisdiction on Jan. 15.

Moore County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Bowman on Wednesday, charged him and placed him in jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
