One Morgan is more than enough - A vote for Richard Morgan is a vote to a return of Boss Hog politics. He is a loser and he needs to stay at home on the farm.

If The Pilot had ever been right about Morgan, I might think their endorsement could influence some voters. However, The Pilot has consistently shown either ignorance of Morgan's behaviors or they agree with Morgan that threats and pay for play is the only way politicians can be successful. Either way, this is a good example of the media trying to affect the outcome of elections. It's like us "regular" citizens are too ignorant to make decisions for ourselves. At any rate, The Pilot, Jim Black, and Mike Decker have all endorsed Morgan at one time or other. Enough said.

Well said. I can only hope that the discerning citizens of Moore County will put the same amount of thought into The Pilot's endorsements as you have. This is not time to start taking the media's word at face value. It's important that people seek information for themselves and make up their own minds.
