Wakefield finished with 63 points to 57 for the Patriots among the 31 teams that scored.

The Patriots piled up the points in the 800-meter run with freshman Jennie Cunningham and senior Lexie Schustrom taking first and second place. Schustrom was also the runner-up in the 1,600.

In the field events, freshman Hannah Hensley was second in the high jump and third in the long jump. The Patriots also did well in the relay events. The 3,200-meter quartet made up of Cunningham, Haley Germain, Ashley Brock and Schustrom came in second. The 400-meter team of Hensley, Breanna Quick, Taylor Morris and Courtney Rainey finished in fourth place. Ceci Weibert, Hensley, Quick and Rainey grabbed fifth place in the 1,600 relay.

Junior Dylan Gaffney earned points for the Pinecrest boys by finishing seventh in the discus and eighth in the shot put.
