The Southern Pines Business Association announces its final call for applications for Springfest 2010. Springfest will be held on Saturday, April 24. Vendor space has been filling quickly. And although the jewelry and food categories have reached capacity, a few opportunities remain for local artists, nonprofit organizations and businesses in Southern Pines.

Artists and fine craftspeople are invited to apply for participation. The Springfest Committee has expressed a desire to increase the quality of the artwork exhibited at each year's festival, and they are in search of individual exhibitors who create with wood, metal, glass, paint, mixed media, pottery and more. The committee is seeking to exhibit a diverse selection of high quality work. Perennial favorites will join with new artists to create a unique experience for regional collectors.

Local businesses that are members of The Southern Pines Business Association (SPBA) are also invited to apply for a booth. These booth spaces are being provided at a discounted rate for SPBA Member Businesses. Booths may be used to sell goods and services and for general businesses promotion.

Springfest is held on the streets of downtown Southern Pines near the historic train station in the center of town. In addition to artwork and other displays, the event also boasts two entertainment stages, dining selections and a variety of activities for children.

Interested artists and businesses may obtain an application for Springfest 2010 online at www.southernpines.biz or by e-mailing spba@earthlink.net. Questions about the event may be directed to spba@earthlink.net or (910) 315-6508.

Springfest is sponsored by the Southern Pines Business Association, and the event is co-sponsored by the Town of Southern Pines.
