Some Advice for Obama

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said, “We’ve got to pass the health bill so we can learn what’s in it.”
This is absolutely one of the most ludicrous statements I’ve ever heard. And to think she is speaker of the house. Help!
As I write this letter, President Obama is delivering his 38th speech on health care within 52 weeks. I get the feeling he is beating us to death with his tongue.
Maybe Benjamin Disraeli had a premonition when he said, “He is a sophisticated rhetorician inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity.” Mr. President, talk less, think more and stop shooting from the hip. Listen more and work more on being president, and spend less time campaigning. America needs a full-time president and one working on our No. 1 priority: jobs.
And here are a few hints as you tackle the No. 1 job. You can’t spend your way into recovery and stop thinking you can. Be bold and cut expenses. One idea is to institute a flat tax and do away with our 72,000 pages of IRS regulations (and the IRS), and don’t try to use “target” tax gimmicks like “Cash for Clunkers.” Just give everyone a tax cut so they can go out and buy and help businesses flourish once again.

I always get a laugh out of people like this letter writer offering "advice" to Democrats, like the Republican Senators telling their Democratic colleagues "if you pass health care reform, you'll lose in the fall."
Uh-huh. I'm sure you only have their best interests at heart.

And of course, Mr. D conveniently ignores the fact that Obama's stimulus package cut taxes on 95% of working families.
Is it perhaps because Mr. D's not working?

It's clear that when people like Mr. D says "cut taxes for everyone" all they really want is tax cuts for rich white retirees like him. Everyone else can foot the bill for his Medicare and Social Security. (studies have shown that most retirees take more out of SS and Medicare than they ever put in)

By the way, Mr. D: you got a source for that Pelosi quote?

@Monroe Diefendorf ~ Please turn in your Medicare card since you are opposed to health care for Americans! Or - decline further comment about POSTUS'O and his efforts to help jobless Americans who didn't receive tax cuts from George W. Bush, only a place in the unemployment line!
