The Visual Arts Alliance (VAA) is a new organization dedicated to building a vibrant and enduring visual arts community in Fayetteville.

The member organizations are Cape Fear Studios, the Fayetteville Art Guild, the Fayetteville Museum of Art, The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, Rosenthal Gallery at Fayetteville State University, the art gallery at Fayetteville Technical Community College, and Old Town Gallery.

The purpose of the VAA is to promote member organization events and pursue collaborative programming and marketing. Additionally the VAA will work to promote Fayetteville as an art buying destination and to shape the perception of the visual arts in Fayetteville.

Member organizations must comply with a set of guidelines including: the organization must present original works of art, have rotating exhibitions planned at least six months in advance, and be capable of hosting art receptions.

The Visual Arts Alliance will collaboratively seek grants and funding for their activities and will host and promote visual art forums for the public.
