Two Arrested in Break-Ins

Two Sanford residents were arrested Friday in connection with a couple of residential break-ins where money and jewelry were taken.
Timothy Wayne Johnson, 24, of 3446 McNeill Road, Sanford, and Devante Torre Allen, 17, of 501 Timberwood Apartments, Sanford, were arrested by Moore County Sheriff’s Office investigators, according to a press release, and both face several charges related to the break-ins.
The arrest stemmed from two reports of break-ins that the sheriff’s office received last Monday (March 1), according to the release. In the first break-in, a woman who lives in the South Plank Road area reported that her residence was entered and money and jewelry were taken. In the second report, a woman that lives in Carolina Lakes subdivision reported that her residence was entered and money taken.
Johnson was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny after break and enter and two counts of felony possession of stolen goods, according to the release. He was jailed, with bail set at $10,000.
