The Southern Pines Pool is open.

“Warm and sunny weather is forecast, which should please those who are eager to cool off in the pool,” says a spokesman for the Southern Pines Recreation and Parks Department. “We anticipate a great summer of fun in the sun.”

The pool is open every day, except Mondays, from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Free swim is held the first hour of every day, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., and admission is free for everyone.

Pool admission fees are: 12 years and under $1, for Southern Pines residents, and $2 for nonresidents. The cost for those 13 and over is $2 for residents and $4 for nonresidents.

Children 6 years and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.

“For your safety, please take a minute when you arrive at the pool to complete a pool registration form,” says the spokesman. “They are also available online at www. southernpines.net/recreation.”

The pool is located at 730 S. Stephens St. in Southern Pines.
