Anyone else find it interesting that the public school has the word FAITH on all their football t-shirts? Anyone know what the deal is with that?

Member... Not ALL of their shirts have the word Faith on them. Last year it was Believe, the year before Sacrifice. They also have shirts that say Pinecrest Football.... So, before you think or say that all of their shirts have faith on them, make sure you know the facts... Faith does not always mean faith in religion. Faith can also mean having complete confidence in a person, persons or a plan. So there is no deal with the fact that the shirts have faith on them.... Faith in each other, the coaches, the plan, the program..... Think about it for a minute.

Surprised-

Thank you for filling me in. I was unaware that they pick a "word" each year. I only saw shirts saying "Faith", so I was curious as to what that was all about. If you'll read my original post again, I don't think you'll find me judging them, merely asking if anyone could fill me in. I appreciate your answer to my question, but not the condescending attitude that came with it.

Sometimes a question IS just a question.

@ Member:

You said, "I appreciate your answer to my question, but not the condescending attitude that came with it. "

Was there a "condescending attitude" ? I didn't hear one or shall I say "read" one. :) But then again, that's the tricky part about blogging and texting and facebooking, etc. isn't it? Sometimes it's hard to "hear" a person's tone or see their facial expressions or hand gestures mn/ d-_-b mn/........

Just saying.

Just saying that I asked a simple question, received a lecture (which "read" very condescending to me), and then was told to chill out. I only wanted some clarification on why a public school had the word faith on their shirts. I understand that the word "faith" can have many different connotations. I am familiar with all of them.

@ NOTW-I was never stressed. Thanks, though!

The Air Raid tournament was very exciting for the student football players. Different schools from Apex, Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Hoke High schools were there and the competion was high. The students played mini football games against each other, quarter backs, running backs and inside and outside linebackers. It was very interesting watching the mini football games beside Pinecrest did really well.....but they did not conquer all. The students were able to meet other students from different areas and watched their skills. Very informative. I am a parent of one of the linebackers at Pinecrest, eventhough it was extremely warm, we had a great time
