Eagle Springs Man Faces Numerous Drug Charges

An Eagle Springs man is facing numerous drug charges after a search of his residence by sheriff’s deputies.

Dearies Kenta Tanner, 26, of 148 Sandy Place, Eagle Springs, was charged Friday with one count of felony trafficking opium or heroin, one count of felony possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, one count of felony possession of cocaine, one count of felony manufacture marijuana, one count of felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver marijuana, one count of felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a schedule III controlled substance, one count of felony maintain a dwelling for controlled substances, one count of misdemeanor possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and one count misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a press release.

The charges stem from a search at his residence on May 25, during which officers seized 10 marijuana plants, approximately 20 grams of marijuana, four grams of cocaine, 16 Lorcet pills, four Xanax pills and assorted drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

The search warrant was executed after marijuana was found growing on the property by investigators when following up on a report that stolen goods were taken and sold at Tanner’s residence, according to the release.

Tanner was jailed, with bail set at $30,000.
