UNC golfer Jack Fields has added All-East Region honors to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition he received last month.

The former Pinecrest star from Southern Pines was selected to the 25-player team announced by PING. He had four top-five and seven top-20 finishes in 10 tournaments this year. He led the Tar Heels with a 71.97 stroke average and tied for 36th place at the NCAA South Central Regional held in Bryan, Texas.

Overall for the year, Fields posted nine scores under par, five in the 60s and five even-par scores. His low round was an eight-under-par 63 in the second round of the UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate, the lowest round in school history.
