Do you know where Annie Oakley lived when she resided in Pinehurst? Do you know the relevance of the fountain in front of the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives? When Gen. George Marshall lived in Pinehurst, where was his house? Is it possible there are ghosts in Pinehurst?
If you’d like the answers to these questions and other information about the history and residents of Pinehurst, sign up for the “Windshield Tour” of Pinehurst that Kirk Tours will be conducting Friday, Aug. 13, at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 14, at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The tour will begin and end at the Pinehurst Welcome Center and Sandhills Woman’s Exchange cabin and will last about one hour.
