Moore County Sheriff's Officers Make Drug Arrests

Three individuals are facing charges of trafficking in methamphetamine as a result of a drug investigation conducted by officers from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit earlier this month, according to a release from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Joseph Daniel Speight, 51, of High Falls, was arrested Tuesday and charged with five counts of felony trafficking of methamphetamine, two counts of felony maintaining a place to keep controlled substance, felony conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, two counts of felony sell methamphetamine, two counts of felony deliver methamphetamine, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, misdemeanor possession of Schedule II controlled substance (Oxycontin and Percocet) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $150,000 secured bond and was placed in the Moore County Detention Center.

Vincent Jaramillo, 45, of Clinton, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with four counts of felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, felony sell methamphetamine, felony deliver methamphetamine, and felony maintaining a place to keep controlled substance. He received a $250,000 secured bond and was placed in the Moore County Detention Center.

Della Rose Williamson, 39, of High Falls, was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, felony maintaining a place to keep methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of Schedule II controlled substance (Oxycontin and Percocet), misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance (Xanax), misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor child abuse. She received a $150,000 secured bond and was placed in the Moore County Detention Center.

Speight and Jaramillo were both arrested at the Eastwood BP Convenient Store. At the time of arrest officers located and seized approximately 113 grams of methamphetamine, and $503.27.

The investigation continued with a search of a residence located in the 100 block of Buttermilk Road in High Falls. Officers located and seized an additional 102 grams of methamphetamine, $2,765.00, one Oxycontin pill, one Percocet pill, and items of drug paraphernalia.

When Williamson was arrested officers located and seized an additional 1 gram of methamphetamine, 15 Xanax pills, and drug paraphernalia.

During the undercover drug investigation an additional 21 grams of methamphetamine was purchased and seized.

The estimated street value of all methamphetamine seized is $35,600.

This is no different than breaking into a drug store. Maybe the should be let go too. I'm sure they were good people with honest jobs.

OBXNC- Just remember if there is not a market these guys would have not been in business. We have to make sure our kids know the danger of drugs at a early age, and hope they learn "presciption" drugs are very dangerous and habit forming.
