North Moore split varsity basketball games at West Montgomery Thursday night.

The Lady Mustangs won 56-28 over the winless Warriors to improve to 11-5 overall and 7-3 in Yadkin Valley 1A Conference play.

Meanwhile, the Mustang boys fell to 4-12 overall and 3-7 in conference play with a 76-57 loss.

West Montgomery's boys' team is 8-8 overall and 8-3 in conference play after the win.

The Warriors led 49-43 going into the fourth quarter and outscored North Moore 27-14 in the final period.

John Spivey had 19 points to lead the Mustangs, with Jonathan Henley adding nine points and Corbin Brock seven.

North Moore was 10-of-25 from the free throw line. Both teams made six three-pointers.

Travante Moore led West Montgomery with 18 points.

North Moore's games hosting South Davidson scheduled for Friday were postponed to Feb. 10.
